Ladies on the Rock
Our “Ladies on the Rock” is an initiative focusing on empowering Black communities through empowering ladies and girls. This online and in person workshop and seminar are led and conducted by Black Ladies for the motivation, empowerment and support of Black ladies, through multiple programs. The last event on November 18, 2023, with over 50 participants was a combination of presentations on self-care, stress management that became an interesting empowerment talk show as participant confidently and freely sharing their personal experiences, and stress related challenges.
The mission includes to form a support system for Black ladies through discussion forum for sharing personal experiences, economic improvement options, issues affecting Black ladies at home, at work, in the society and proffer solutions through the impute of the experts and presenters. It is not only a workshop/seminar, but also a fun event, an empowerment talk show where older ladies share experiences with younger ladies and vice versa.
The Ladies on the Rock initiative is led by individuals who identify as Black, ensuring that decision-making, strategic planning, and overall governance reflect the perspectives and experiences of the Black community. The services are designed and delivered by Black for the benefit of Black to individuals within the Black community. The programs promote inclusivity and cultural competency, and tackles issues that disproportionately affect Black individuals, such as systemic racism, economic disparities, race discrimination, and inequality, health and well-being thereby create positive outcomes and empowerment for the Black community and a sense of inclusivity.
